and yes FYI: we had changed the way reference field was handled by the clients because of lp:715763 so for then onwards we decided to let reference field return False value if any one of its part is left blank) and as there is an onchange(change_object) on the field "Copy Of" the value will be passed False because of on_change trigger before filling the field.
