Caveat: trailing blanks names with trailing "look" identical, but are not identical for check of uniqueness IMHO it does not make sense to store trailing blanks. (in general) (ASCII-Code 32, UnicodeU+0020.) I recognize that there might be resources like partners having the same "official" name and might be distinguish only by address or similar. In this case name + reference/code must be used. res.company - name res.currency - symbol res.partner - name (+ reference) res.partner.bank - account or iban account.period - name account.tax - name product_template - name (+code) ....
