products: switching list to form and form to list is ultra slow

Bug description:
with some 100 products it takes 7 seconds to switch from list to form and 15
sec to switch from form to list
and puts high load on the server
BTW
web client is at ~1 sec for each
opening list in GTK is 1 sec
