Just to add my grain of salt on this issue, the price should be made context-sensitive just like the quantity available is. The reason is that when you browse your stock locations and set a dates context, currently you get the available quantity à that date but the current price. This would make it easy for example to extract the valuation of a yearly physical inventory (for those who make the accounting entries at the end of the fiscal year).

What we need : When a sale is made, the cost price should be stored in order to be used if the product is returned. The wizard should at least take the cost price from product when the product is returned but it would be better to take the cost price at the time when the product was sold.
