This branch removes the check_modules function in the setup.py and uses the setuptools library. Setuptools allows to define the requirements (dependencies) for the installation of the package. This feature is used by easy_install and pip and for the packager in the official distributions. I want to improve this part and remove the current bad way. Please, could you check this branch and give me your feedback or patch because I want to merge it for the next release.
