Hi invitu, thanks for spotting this and for proposing a solution. Actually, i don't see a real business case where such options would be needed. So i'd rather remove the start date and end date fields: it will simplify the view and the code [*]. In order to reflect that, i'm setting the status of this bug to wishlist + won't fix.
I you think 'im wrong and if you have some experience that proove this field is useful and really needed then please do not hesitate to reopen the bug and share your views here.
