This is not a bug. The debian package automatically create a user. If
you use the tarball you should configure postgres propertly of course.

  Server start with wrong parameter

Status in OpenERP Server:
  Invalid

Bug description:
  I'm using 6.1rc1 tarball version and put into ubuntu 11.10 box.

  The server can start properly, however the database user = Ubuntu. (as below 
message)
  [2012-01-13 08:28:48,575][?] INFO:server:database user: ubuntu

  I've created a database user "openerp" after install postgresql.
  and the default install\openerp-server.conf file there the db_user = openerp. 

  I try also refer to another openerp-server.conf .

  The result is Openerp unable to make connecton to database server
  (postgresql)
