> Unless I'm mistaken, doing as you recommend will make the base view visible only to the groups I define
No, you use @groups on subsets of the view so some parts are shown only to some groups. You don't define a view per group. > So my question remains: how can I define a customized view for a group of users ? You don't, you define per-group customizations to the base view. ** Project changed: openerp-web => openobject-server -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of OpenERP Indian Team, which is subscribed to OpenERP Server. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/947129 Title: Create customized view for groups of users Status in OpenERP Server: Won't Fix Bug description: More a wish than a bug: in OpenERP v6.1, it is possible to create customized views for a specific user. It would be nice if it were possible to create customized views for a group of users, for instance ask that all users from the "Accounting" group access the custom view instead of the base one.
