I had the same problem and upgrading the web client solved the issue.

Bug description:
Hello,
1.) I create a Sale Order.
2.) Then Picking will be created.
3.) While I Process those picking directly from the tree view I am getting
following error.
Your version of OpenERP is unsupported. Support & maintenance services
