-- You received this bug notification because you are a member of OpenERP Indian Team, which is subscribed to OpenERP Server. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1039122 Title: translation quirks for product names Status in OpenERP Server: New Bug description: assume - client language is German partner language is French A new product is created (in German) and commited (which creates a translation and fills the name field of the product using the German name ) name = 'Apfelsirup' the product name is corrected (for whatever reason) - this affects only the German translation. translation = 'Apfelsirup 1L' name = 'Apfelsirup' for some products a french translation is entered. but not for "Apfelsirup" the product is named "Apfelsirup" in French, but the clients expects to see 'Apfelsirup 1L' same happens if a product is copied the content of the name field is "old product name (copy)" and shows up correctly in German after modification Same problem for all translated fields - user do not understand and are not willing to spend extra time to correct the base field which is stored in the database.
