I have checked your issue. you are right that it's generating PO for service
/MTO/ buy product.
As far task is concerned ,we need more discussion on this crucial issue.
Right now I'm assigning it as a opinion for useful discussion and for
sufficient result.

Whishlist
project_mrp creates a purchase on sale order for a service type
product when prucrement type is purchase. This is great, but it would
be nice to have the option to also generate the corresponding task
(and also maybe a validation task) for the sale order line. This would
allow a more accurate project planning
