I must admit that I agree with Nohmar here: Hiding this "process view" feature will bring more confusion than viewing the link on a page... The purpose of this view is to help the user... so, if you hide it, you get more chance to confuse the user than the contrary... IMHO this feature must be available wih any user in any time (If the object have proccess available.) as it is done in past versions. In our CTP trainings, it is used to show all variants to trainees and it is a loved feature in this case, this is a feature for end users not for developer (Even developers should use more frequently to valid them decitions.)
