You have been subscribed to a public bug:
When one sets the Paper format to US Letter, the Header is misformatted.
To replicate:
Setting > Companies
Select your company.
Edit the information so you will have complete address, state, country,
phone etc etc.
You may also enter a logo.png file.
Click on the Preview/Header and you will see properly formatted header.
Go back and change the Letter to US Letter and repeat. You will see
problems on the generated PDF.
