Hi Alex, sorry for asking questions before doing some research, i was able to figure out the CMDLINE issue but i can still not get the a1200 version to boot.
Also, i am not familiar with the differences between the a1200, a1200R and a1200e so i cannot tell you what i'm working with. i can tell from the boot logs that its not bringing up the usb device properly, and i was able to get an e680 to boot with nfsroot so i think the CMDLINE setting i'm using is okay and that the NFS mount option set via xconfig is okay as well. do you have any suggestions as to what i might try next? (p.s. i started this e-mail before you responded to my last round of newb questions) cheers, Mike
