Hi guys,

Saturday was an important day for me, I have finally made the first GSM voice
call with my A780, running an fso-console image w/ kernel 2.6.28-rc6 (thanks
gmzhou and Wyrm).

For me personally, this is really groundbreaking, since I now have regained
faith that we can ever provide an alternative to the MOTO software. Yes, it
has taken us lots of years since starting the project, but we're finally not
far from an image that runs 100% free and current software, can do voice
calls, send and receive sms, and accessing the SIM phonebook.

Thanks to all contributors that lead us the current state, btw.

Let me collect the things I'd say are missing from the kernel for a first
really usable milestone release for gen1 phones [in order of importance]:
 * suspend/resume
 * power_class driver
 * led drivers

Do we have RTC and USB ok?

What's the status for gen2 and the A910 btw.?

Best regards,
