Hello all.
I have a FreeBSD 6.1 server with Samba (as PDC) on an OpenLDAP backend.
Samba seems to work, as I can add XP Pro computers in the domain (after
creating the account with LAM) and users can also get authed from the domain.
But my brand new OpenFiler 2.0 server can not join the domain at all.
I've tried both with creating the computer account in the domain or not.
No error on the webinterface but once connected (ssh) to the OpenFiler
server, /var/log/samba/winbindd.log contains several lines :
[2006/05/22 17:29:00, 1] nsswitch/winbindd.c:main(864)
winbindd version 3.0.10-1.4E.2.of started.
Copyright The Samba Team 2000-2004
[2006/05/22 17:29:00, 1] nsswitch/winbindd_group.c:winbindd_getgroups(1032)
user 'root' does not exist
[2006/05/22 17:29:00, 1] nsswitch/winbindd_group.c:winbindd_getgroups(1032)
user 'root' does not exist
Additionnal info : on the OpenFiler Group list I get groups but all look
like "BUILTIN+GroupName" instead of "GroupName".
The user list is empty (only hacluster user).
Any clue ?
David.
