are you sure its a C2 ? isnt the M10000 loaded with a Model 9 C3 ? the
Nehemiah chip ? that would work with i686 kernels, afaik.

its not supported since you cant boot the i686 kernel on a i586 machine.
I am not sure how you would get it to run long enough in order to get
the machine loaded, when you cant boot the machine!

indulge me, give me a few details, lets see if we can make it run the
way it should...
