VMware ESX server 2.5.2 has this issue
with 2.6 kernel based OS’s, of which Openfiler is one. Try upgrading
your server to ESX 2.5.3, where the 2.6 kernel is supported, and the problem
will most likely go away. A temporary workaround that I came up with
was to put a cron job in /etc/cron.hourly that does this: /etc/init.d/ntpd restart That seems to resync the clock every hour,
although that still might not be enough for AD authentication to accurately
