Hello,

Has anyone tried/recommended Openfiler on the NSLU2 or similar
ultra-cheap/basic NAS systems? The Openfiler software itself isn't big,
nor (as I understand it) processor/memory intensive, so I guess it
/should/ work... Yes, I have read the "Mininimum System Requirements"
section at http://www.openfiler.com/docs/ it's just that it seems like a
lot, given the NSLU2's specs (although the NSLU2 does a fraction of what
Openfiler does, and so on).
NSLU2 is not an intel CPU (at all), Openfiler won't work on it.
There are alternative firmwares for it allowing to do much more stuff
than the original Linksys's one.
What's the cheapest/smallest system the core Openfiler software will fit
on? What software does Openfiler fundamentally depend on (Apache HTTPD,
PHP, etc.)? Basically, if I wanted to port Openfiler to some other
distribution than CentOS where would I start?
I guess any CentOS 3.3 x86 supported hardware...

A: Yes.
