I can attest to this bug also, I have raised a ticket for it. Of course without access to SSH it makes it difficult to apply the patches recomended to me earlier :(

This seems to be accompanied by a lot od HD activity for a couple of minutes. The o/s is installed a mirrored array of two HDs on a 3ware 9000 series controller, there's currently no othe disks installed.
