Hi All,
Have been using OF2 for a while as a test platform for a prospective NAS/SAN based near-line backup system. It worked well, and although I'll now need to do some additional testing due to the new version and its transition to rpath, I am expecting good things. My only stumbler atm is updates. My OF box will be situated on a secure, completely closed network, with no access to the outside world. Obviously this will stop me being able to use a quick conary update (think that's the command now, whatever...) to run the updates. With normal Yum repos, it is possible to create a local repo and use this instead (indeed this is what I do for other distros on the same network). Is this possible with conary??? Ie if I download the repo, burn to DVD, copy down to a local repo on the closed LAN and use that as the conary repo. Also, what is the status of the iSCSI initiator??? The data that is being accessed is on an EMC iSCSI SAN and it makes sense to just pull the data direct rather than mess about accessing via NFS or similar. Hmmm, just remembered one LUN is GFS based for our 3node cluster. Are the usual RH cluster services apps available/installed on the new rpath based OF2.1 or will I need to add these manually???
