CF (on CF IDE adapter):
Tried to reinstall Grub on MBR but nothing changed. I still see "GRUB"
and a blinking cursor :-/
Tried with HDD image from web site. Same thing as above
SD:
Tried to install on SD card on USB adapter. Installer told me that it
couldn't find any storage devices to do the installation on :-/
Tried with HDD image on SD/USB. Modified device.map according to my
SD/USB device. Nothing change
Did a lot of googling without any significative results.
I read GRUB manual and Openfiler Doc too, browse forum...etc but no how
to :-/
Btw my motherboard is a Tyan S2892 with the latest Bios ( I tried with a
former one without success).
I've done both install (on SD and CF) with no swap config cause I would
prefer Swap partition to be on HDDs. I don't think that made the install
going bad...
So I'm really stucked :-((
If anyone have an Openfiler 2.X (from rPath) install on CF or SD/USB
experience It would be great :-)

Hi Hervé,
Im not sure if it right, but the first thing that pops into mind is a
lacking MBR.
Maybe
You would try and start in rescue mode and reinstall the Grub MBR.
Maybe I have just to try another time and if it doesn't boot try to
reinstall GRUB as you said.

Ps. have you thought about write cycles on a CF card?
Yep. I'll move swap partition to HDD's and try to tweak syslog not to
be too verbose to minimize writes on the CF
Maybe it could be possible to move all system write access to HDD's
(like var, tmp...) and make the system not to write on the CF...
