I'm preparing to rebuild my OpenFiler v1.1 system and downloaded the VMWare virtual machine for 2.2 to play with.
I'll start out by saying that v2.2 looks really nice. Much more feature rich compared to v1.1. I ran a conary updateall and then started playing with it. I added three virtual scsi drives in vmware, partitioned them as software raid, and created a raid 5 array with them. Very slick to be able to do this all through the web interface. I created a volume group, then I made a couple of volumes and shared one of them out. I successfully connected to the share with a Windows client. All good so far. I grew one of the volumes and doubled its size. Seemed to work fine. Then I deleted the volumes. This where the problem starts. I don't see the volumes any more, they seem to be deleted, but the space still shows up as allocated on the Volume Management pages. I can't create new volumes, nor can I delete the volume group. Have I found a new bug? Or a known bug? I don't recall seeing anything about this on the mailing list, but I don't read all of the emails. Thanks! -- Timothy W.
