Hello ! I wanted to try out openfiler 2.2 (especially its ISCSI support) for our XEN Servers. The server where it should be installed as XEN DomU is a XEON 5130 based system with 8 GB of RAM and is running a 64 bit Ubuntu Dapper Server under XEN 3.0.4-1.
The available Openfiler XEN DomU is x86 only and can't be run under XEN 64-bit. I installed a X86_64 openfiler 2.2 from the iso Image as XEN HVM (Fully Virtualized with the help of Intel VT) succsessfully on one of my LVM Volumes. It's running fine and I was able to set authentication to our company LDAP Server. Now I would like to run openfiler paravirtualized with a x86_64 XEN DomU kernel. I only need to install the appropriate XEN DomU capable kernel (x86_64!). Since I'm new to rpath-Linux based systems I don't know how to do this. I ran conary update-all to have all updates which worked fine.
