Have your used "modprobe aacraid" to check whether the driver is loaded?
I had tried to build a kernel in rPath when I wanted to make the Adaptec
commandline interface working. It turned out that I just need to use
MAKEDEV to make some nodes under /dev so I didn't continue. But it was
not a very straightforward process.
OF developers, would you like to take a look at this and include the
latest driver from Adaptec? I will try, too.
From the website, it is 1.1.5.2429. Jason, would you like to provide me
your driver from the CD? Contact me directly, I will give you details
about how to make a upload.

Thanks for the response. However my card is not recognized thats why I
asked. The card is 5 weeks old. It was just released.
Anyone know how to determine what version of AACRAID is installed and
if there are any rpath docs on how to get the version upgraded to a
newer version (the one below) that will support my card?
I guess eventually rpath will include the newer drivers correct?
thanks

Hi,
I have one 21610 card and its support has been included in openfiler
(thru aacraid). There is no additional driver installation
required. I
guess most probably, you don't need to install additional drivers.
To make use of its console tools (For GUI tools, I wasn't able to
install X on my openfiler box). You may extract one of the RPM
package
(rpm2cpio foo.rpm | cpio -iumd) and run the MAKEDEV under /dev to
make
node for aacli tool to recognize your card.
