We use Openfiler with ESX 3.02 and 3.05 here and its been darn good for a free SAN. We have had a couple of issues when people kick off 3 or 4 clone jobs at the same time, occasionally the storage will completely vanish from ESX. I am hoping that some patches I just applied to esx 3.02 will resolve this, will let you know after testing this week. Performance has been adequate for what we do internally which is just a 4 disk raid 10 set. At a customer location we have a 16 drive 16TB monster with raid 50 in place and it runs just fine. Going on 1 year now from original install date.
