Guys I have some questions in regards to block level replication with filer
so ok let's say you
deploy a cluster do both nodes need to be the exact same hardware? I
guess what I'm saying do your disk configurations need to be the same
for example I have a terabyte of storage on server a that's running in a
raid5 and a terabyte of storage on serverb that's running in a raid 5 I
assume in order to do block level replication that both of the storage
setups have to be the same. Or better yet my lun sizes would need to
match so let's say servera has a 500gig lun that I want to replicate I
assume serverb will also have to have a 500gig lun. If the lun sizes
would need to mach than that would lead me to believe that I actually
could have a terabyte of storage on servera however serverb may only
have 800gig of storages bit if I'm replicating 500gig than obviously
serverb would be able to handle that. Also do you have any docs or
links on how to setup drbd without the cluster manager? I'm sorry if
these questions are elementary but this is my first time ever setting up
something like this.
