Also see https://forums.openfiler.com/viewtopic.php?id=1757 I gave up trying to HA openFiler and instead just setup a HA SAN with Xtravirt, and installed openfiler as a NAS that mounts it, and is stored on the HA SAN. using ESXi you can have a virtual machine for OpenFiler stored on your mirrored SAN so that if the openfiler box goes down you can restart it on the other box, or if your using vmware infrastructure you can have its HA functions automatically reboot openfiler on the other box. Major props out to the guys who made the OpenFiler Virtual aplication for vmware.
