I'm not sure you can really 'prove' which is better, all controllers will have their pros and cons, and a lot of it is in the eye of the beholder. Questions such as which programming language(s) you are comfortable with, what sort of minimum performance you need to achieve, what features are available, what platforms you need to run on, what is available documentation wise, and what level of current and ongoing support and developer activity you expect, will all vary per controller. More pointed questions directed at specific controllers and their authors/users will probably yield you more useful information.

Hi
This question of performance comparison is more appropriate for the
openflow-discuss list that I've copied here. Please drop nox-dev in
subsequent mails.

Thanks

Hamilton,

You can add Maestro (Rice University) and NEC's Trema
(http://trema.github.com/trema/ ) to your list of candidate
controllers.

The answer to your question depends on what you want from your OF
controller... Easy of programmability? Performance in terms of what
type of events?

Hello,

What is the best, NOX or Beacon? And how do I prove it?
