Hi Wayne:

Beacon is an OSGI application and you can control the specific bundles to
run using it's configuration (If you are using eclipse, go to Run -> Run
Configurations or Debug Configurations and enable disable bundles as
required). You can exclude running of the web bundles by disabling them in
the running configuration.

For beacon related documentation, you can try the beacon page on
openflowhub.org (http://www.openflowhub.org/display/Beacon/Beacon+Home) and
see if the getting started/FAQ/Your first bundle and other related
documentation helps. There is also a forum for beacon related questions
there (http://forums.openflowhub.org/forumdisplay.php?4-Beacon) and that can
be helpful as well.
