if you want to actually get an answer to your question in the future, don't
cross-post.  If you stil have questions, please remove openflow-discuss and
nox-dev from the CC list for any reply.

Kernel versions compiled with CONFIG_NET_NS=y, including newer Ubuntu
kernels, don't need to be recompiled to use Mininet.  See if the default
Squeeze kernel has this setting; if not, you'll need to build a custom
kernel that does.  Otherwise, the prebuilt
VM<http://yuba.stanford.edu/foswiki/bin/view/OpenFlow/MininetGettingStarted>
should
help, as it requires no kernel compilation.
