Please modify the option -Y to -X
e.g ssh -X user@<target_ip_address>
this option enables X11 forwarding.

are you using SSH?
I had a similar problem. It was solved using the parameter -Y with ssh command.

Hi,
I have the following issue in the “Controller Choice A: NOX w/Python” section,
I am trying to “Verify Hub Behavior with tcpdump” but when I try to create
xterms for each host, I get the following error :
mininet> Warning: This program is an suid-root program or is being run by the
root user.
The full text of the error or warning message cannot be safely formatted
in this environment. You may get a more descriptive message by running the
program as a non-root user or by removing the suid bit on the executable.
xterm Xt error: Can't open display: %s
xterm: DISPLAY is not set
What could be the issue?
