You mean OVS 1.2.2.
It's related to the OpenFlow 1.1 multiple table support, but:
- It uses extensions to OpenFlow 1.0, instead of implementing
OpenFlow 1.1.
- In the software switch, progress from one table to another
occurs only due to explicit "resubmit" actions, never
automatically.
- In the software switch, there's no restriction in the order in
which tables may be visited; even recursive visits are
allowed.
