Hi Troy,

As Murphy says this can be done. Have you started POX already in your setup? 
Perhaps FlowVisor is crashing because the port 6633 is already used by POX.

Also what version of FlowVisor are you using? It seems from the error message 
that you are using an old version. The latest version should have clearer error 
messages.
