Hi Ambika, I don't know if I get correctly your question. Anyway, I'll try ;)
The communication between switches and controller(s) is ususally based on TCP active connection from switches to controller. The controller has its own ip address accessible from the switches. Typical ovs-vsctl show command on open v switch is "tcp:xxx.yyy.zzz.www:6633".
Hoping to help you, Luca P. Il 09/03/2013 04:28, Ambika Mohanty (ammohant) ha scritto:
Hi Everyone, In the SDN world the control plane will terminate at the Server and the data plane at the switch. Who owns the IP address where this communication is happening ? If it is the data plane then how does the corresponding control packets(destined to the same IP) reach the server. regards Ambika _______________________________________________ openflow-discuss mailing list openflow-discuss@lists.stanford.edu https://mailman.stanford.edu/mailman/listinfo/openflow-discuss
