Hello everyone, I'm a new Openflow user and I've read in the Whitepaper that OF must isolate traffic processed by the Flow Table from the traffic that is processed by the normal L2 and L3 pipeline and to achieve this you can add the action "forward the packet trough the switch's normal pipeline".
And what about L2 and L3 pipeline? Are the processor in the NIC card? And the switch's normal pipeline. Which tasks has this pipeline normally? The packets that go through this pipeline don't interfere with this tasks? And a last question: When you add a flow, the packets, by default, goes through the L2 pipeline or the switch's normal pipeline? Thanks in advance.
