Hi All,

I got confused with the release notes section of OpenFlow Specification. In
specification 1.3.1, section B.6.8, the IEEE 802.1D Spanning Tree Protocol
configuration flags has been introduced in release 0.8.9 via the port structure
enum ofp_port_config. While it has never been later discussed it seems that
some of these flags have been removed, as mentioned in section A.2.1 they are
not in the enum ofp_port_config field.

I also noted that there is a paragraph (repeated from the first specifications
up to now) that says: "In general, the port config bits are set by the
controller and not changed by the switch. Those bits may be useful for the
controller to implement protocols such as STP or BFD. If the port config bits
are changed by the switch through another administrative interface, the switch
sends an OFPT_PORT_STATUS message to notify the controller of the change."

I am wondering if STP flags are still supported in the latest Specification or
not? If not shouldn't it be mentioned in the release notes appendix B that in
which release they have been removed?

Thanks,
Navid
