Hi, I suspect you are asking about a specific controller implementation, and not the OpenFlow protocol. I'm guessing this is Ryu, and so I'd suggest you to have a look at this for examples: http://osrg.github.io/ryu-book/en/Ryubook.pdf. If my guess is wrong, please give more details on what you are trying to use.
