The official POX website is at http://noxrepo.org.  It has a web forum, a 
mailing list for POX users/developers with several years of archive, and a link 
to a documentation wiki that amounts to something like 60 printed pages.

Yes, you can use Trema.  Download and install it somewhere according to its 
documentation.  Then use Mininet's --controller=remote argument to point it to 
wherever you're running Trema.  See the Mininet website/documentaion/mailing 
list for further information on Mininet and its use.
