I just noticed the table feature information in OVS 2.4 is very large (~3 MB per connected switch). This makes the typical openflow inventory retrieve very slow and sometimes even crashing (i.e. using postman).
This is also the reason why our performance flow scripts cannot be used with OVS 2.4 (they use inventory for some checks and this impacts the flow add time). I do not think we can do much about it but just keep in mind if you deal with OVS 2.4.
