Fyi. I don't think they are needed - but sending it to the list anyway just
in case you had an opinion.

Subject: [release] Usefulness of periodic jobs / can we remove them?
To: "[email protected]" <[email protected]>,

Hi Everyone,

I'd like to ask all projects if anyone finds the periodic jobs useful. I'm
specifically talking about the jobs on this tab in Jenkins [0]. The used to
be useful as a quick way to check the health of projects but since we made
merge jobs run weekly I think perhaps the periodic jobs are not as useful
and the current Merge jobs probably serves the same purpose.

If there's no strong objections I'd like to propose that we remove the
periodic jobs if folks are not using them as we can save some of our build
resources from this.

This conversation came from some discussion in integration here [1].

Thoughts?

Thanks,
Thanh
