Tomas, both Luis and I have also noticed this in other places, and I think it's only started to bite us in the last week or so. I have a patch [0] that I think will fix it, and might be overkill to fix it in other places, but in theory it can pop up anywhere if our names/jobs/paths are too long for virtualenv.
unfortunately, the job I'm testing [0] with keep failing to bring up the environment. I don't think it's related to the patch, but I want to make sure it works in the sandbox first.
