Miroslav will update the bug 9038. The short answer is that some
transaction chain is not valid when we are trying to close it and raising
an exception due to this. The workaround is to mask the exception by not
closing the transaction chain if it is not valid. I am not very comfortable
with this - as this is not fixing the underlying cause of why this is not
valid. Hence should be pursued beyond this workaround. Since the complete
fix & investigating it may take some time and if this is not a regression
(from Carbon SR 1) we should let the Carbon SR 2 go and fix it in Nitrogen
and in Carbon SR3.

Michael V - can you please check if the issue is also in Carbon SR1?
