There was a discussion on #opengrok with Lubos, Knut Anders and me. I
wasn't there from the start, but I think at least one of the motivations
was that we didn't like to have many versions of e.g. Lucene jar file in
Mercurial repository.
My personal motivation was that I had just set up en OpenGrok job on my
personal Hudson and on my laptop, and it was a lot of work downloading
an copying JAR files to the correct directories, so I volunteered to try
with Maven :)
