Lorenzo PacPhone www.pacphone.com supports URL in a webpage by default. For a test type h323:<number> in the webbrowser and it will call the number.
On a webpage you add what you already have it will work Example : <a href:"h323:johnsmith"><img src="phone.gif" alt="call me"></a> PacPhone on installation adds a entry in the windows registry that associates the H323 URL schema with PacPhone. So if you have PacPhone running it will call. If PacPhone is not running it will launch the program (register with the gatekeeper) and make the call. For Ekiga you must be able to send the number to the program while it is running. I don't think it can do that. Also Ekiga is a 18+mb download while PacPhone is only 5.3mb. Remember to work properly for anyone to call, GnuGk must be configured to support unregistered calls.
