Hi Rebecca,
GnuGk doesn't use the codec information, but we are extracting the
codec for accounting purposes. Take a look at the code that sets the
placeholder %{codec}.
Another idea someone had was to filter out certain codecs when the
endpoints exchange capabilities to avoid that they agree on codecs
using too much bandwidth.
