Hi Malcolm,

The GnuGK will be using to connecting different customers as a directory
proxy, and solve the problem of some customers' endpoints are behind
NAT.

I would like to know the possibility of both approaches you have below,
like:

1. I setup a GK with public IP and any endpoints behind NAT can
register and communicate each other. This is the setup I have now with
Cisco GK. My endpoints behind NAT can setup calls, but result in one-way
audio which I suspect RTP packets are not delivered properly because of
NAT.

2. Or customer has their own GK behind NAT which can be
neighbouring with my GK with public IP. And RTP traffic is still handled
fine.

Thanks,

Leon

Hi Leon,

I am no gnugk expert, but I kow a bit.

I am not sure from your description what you are trying to do.

Do you want to have a gnugk on a public address, and use it to service
clients at home/small sites sitting behind a NAT type router (such as a
linksys)?

Or, do you want to have the the the gungk sitting on a private address
behind a NAT router (like a linksys)?
