I don't understand the worry about Java.  You have to write _some_ code in some 
language.  Scripting languages have short half-lives.  Full-fledged languages have 
decently long ones in computation history scale.  There are no other full-fledged 
languages on the horizon unless I'm missing something...especially no free ones.  Why 
is UML considered the immutable forever thing implied by others?  And can you 
implement it without a robust programming language?
