All, Here is my response to the mail that invited recent new list members to introduce themselves: I'm a qualified doctor in the UK, though I stopped practicing full-time about 3 years ago to pursue a career in IT. I have been writting (and selling) software for around 18 years now, using lots of different languages from machine code (and assembly) to Delphi to JScript. Given my background, I specialise in Healthcare IT and was the Technical Manager for a primary care browser based EPR system that was NHSIA RFA4 accredited. I have been thinking of getting into open source healthcare for awhile and only over the last 2 months finding some time to do so. I am currently putting some proposals together to my company with a view to releasing more of my time to be devoted to open source work. Given my recent technology skills being in Enterprise Java I would currenltly be looking at being involved in a primary care EPR system using such tecnologies and a Framework which has been on the back-burner for sometime. I've been reading the postings on the list but untill I have fully digested all the info on the variant current systems in development I'm sure I'll be quite quiet.
