I like it. And I think you are right that this is how it will be.
However, I am most intrigued by your puzzlement at the end.
I am sure you know that if your idea is as great as it sounds, someone will implement
it in a proprietary system. Of course, if you really care, you will work with me to
implement it in the OIO system. :-)
I believe the OIO system is already capable of supporting what you described.
